Welcome to J Marr Physiotherapy

Starting Monday 13th December we are back to full working hours for face-to-face treatments.

  • We operate under the Ministry of Health guidelines and mandates – this means all of our staff are double vaccinated against Covid-19. Along with Covid-19 screening, QR code scanning and hand sanitising is also required as we strive to maintain a safe working and treating environment.
  • Our Policy at J Marr Physiotherapy is that wearing a mask in this close contact environment is strongly recommended. If you forget your mask, we do have them at reception. Please don’t be offended if we ask you to put one on as we wish to maintain a healthy clinic. Your Physio will be wearing a mask.
  • Please call us on 09 294 7062 to make an appointment. You can also book online. In some cases we may use a video telehealth appointment to initially screen your injury before we see you in-clinic.
  • For patients who are unwell and therefore  unable to come into the clinic, we can offer our expertise through video telehealth consultations to ensure you can still receive the best possible physiotherapy advice, exercise programs and on-going support. We are able to effectively diagnose and treat your injury assisting  greatly with getting patients assessed, diagnosed and started on their rehabilitation pathway prior to commencing face-to-face treatments.
  • To keep you safe, we sanitise the rooms between patients changing all linen.
  • The clinic is in the final stages of extensive renovations and new additions. There will still be some inconveniences over the next month while this major project nears completion but it will definitely be worth the wait.

Below are several screening questions we have to ask when you are booking an appointment. Please also consider these at any time during your treatment period.

  1. Are you, or anyone who will present during the appointment, feeling unwell with flu-like symptoms such as a sore throat, fever, cough, shortness of breath, or recent loss of taste or smell?
  2. Do you, or a close contact, have a probable or confirmed COVID-19 case?
  3. Have you, or a close contact, been asked to quarantine/self isolate over the past 14 days?  (If yes – has the quarantine period now finished?)
  4. In the past 14 days, have you worked on an international aircraft or shipping vessel or worked in a facility visited by international arrivals?
  5. Have you or a close contact of yours had a recent COVID-19 test or awaiting results?
  6. Do you or a close contact have any underlying health concerns or reasons that you would be deemed more vulnerable if you were to become ill?

If any of the above are applicable, please contact the clinic on 09 2947062 or discuss with your physiotherapist. Thankyou for your co-operation and understanding.

  1. We ask all patients to use the hand sanitiser in reception when they enter the clinic, before you go to the treatment room, and once again when you exit the treatment room.
  2. Masks are required at Alert Level 2. We will have a limited supply of masks for sale at reception if needed.
  3. We have Perspex screens up at reception for the protection of our receptionists and customers.
  4. Payments can be done at reception by contactless method – Paywave using your credit card or Eftpos card. Alternatively, we can email you the invoice and this gives you the option of direct banking or credit card.
  5. Video Telehealth consultations are available for patients who are unable to come to the clinic due to time restraints, appointments or illness. You can book these online or phone 09 2947062.
